THE PROGRAMME
The Incubator program has three stages: an immersive on-the-ground workshop; a scaffolded online program; and dedicated individual editorial support.
“It was a great experience to be part of the workshop! Mind maps were a major takeaway for me: they significantly improved my critical thinking and helped me produce superior-quality, organized writing.”
— R.B., India
How It Works
Throughout all stages, every session is hands-on, with time dedicated to applying new strategies to each participant’s own work. The entire programme is practical and outcome-oriented: by the end of Stage 1 participants will have produced a mini conference presentation; by the end of Stage 2 they will have a complete draft; and by the end of Stage 3, they will have a submission-ready manuscript.
Stage 1: Immersive In-Person Workshop
We begin with an immersive, hands-on, on-the-ground workshop. The purpose of this is to build a supportive and dynamic community, assess and develop participants’ current academic writing skills, and launch both the individual and a group publication project.
This stage culminates in a mock conference, where participants present their work, receive targeted feedback, and leave with concrete and actionable writing plans.
Stage 2: Online Incubation
Following the workshop, participants enter an 3-month structured and scaffolded online program in which they develop their ideas into complete and engaging manuscripts. In this stage:
Work continues collaboratively, with peer support and expert guidance
Developmental editing demystifies each step from first draft to submission, and helps to pinpoint and lay bare the core ideas
Participants progress from concept to polished, publication-ready article
Stage 3: Dedicated Individual Editorial Support
Following the online sessions, we work closely with participants to finalize their manuscripts for publication.
